Flexion Distraction
The Flexion Distraction is primarily used in treating cervical and lumbar disc herniations, spinal stenosis, sciatica pain, and non-disc spinal disorders. This technique involves the use of a specially designed chiropractic table (known as a Cox Table) with the patient typically lying face down. After a thorough examination of the affected area, Doctor Adamec will isolate and stabilize spinal section just above, and gently flex the lower part of the table. This stretching motion will allow the affected disc(s) to move back to its proper place. The procedure is very gentle, without force, and not painful. Many patients report feeling pain relief during the treatment as well as a suctioning effect as the herniated disc is slowly moved back to its normal position.
Flexion Distraction offers a 100% natural, drug-free alternative for chronic back, neck, and sciatica pain. Remarkably, it provides hope even for patients who have undergone prior back surgeries, a group often told that further surgery is their only option. Documented research underscores the remarkable success of the Flexion Distraction technique, with patient success rates ranging between 89% and 95% when following an 8 to 10-week treatment regimen. This therapy not only holds the potential to resolve lumbar and cervical herniated discs but can also effectively address stenosis (the narrowing of the spinal canal), lateral recess stenosis (narrowing of the canal where spinal nerves exit), and cases of failed back surgery syndrome.
